The game promises to ignite the solar system with a unique blend of long-range combat and cosmic chaos. Worbital is also planned to be released for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch later this year.
A spiritual follow-up to Team Jolly Roger’s last game Interplanetary,Worbital takes the premise of flinging artillery across the solar system and amps it up with real-time strategy combat and gleeful destruction. Players will command planets that bristle with gigantic guns and lasers, exotic fortifications like planetary shields, and even maniacal doomsday weapons such as the World Rammer. They will need these in the ever-shifting battlefield of a star system, where a foe can be worlds away one moment and right in your orbit the next. With both online and local multiplayer, as well as skirmishes versus AI, the potential for pandemonium is limitless.
Commenting about the inbound release Team Jolly Roger mentioned about their second full in-house title: “Worbital is almost here, finally! Exciting times! We couldn’t have done it without our wonderful Discord community, which grew beyond our expectations during the Worbital beta. Their feedback has been priceless in helping us create a game that we hope can stand proud among its venerable artillery-strategy ancestors. We want Worbital to be the kind of wacky, fun game that people gather around and enjoy playing together.”

#20 – Forgotten Franchises, Development Purgatory and the Prince that Persia’d
byHype From Outer Heaven
On this episode of Hype from Outer Heaven, join Kyle, Brandon, Caleb and Prince as they discuss long-dormant franchises that are in desperate need of a reboot. Franchises like Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, Legacy of Kain, SOCOM: US Navy Seals etc. are just a few examples of once prolific franchises that have been left at the side of the road. Is it due to a lack of interest? or has the very nature of gaming changed, with investors and publishers not giving long-dead franchises the time of day based on the fact that they would be a financial gamble? If so, they usually end up in development purgatory and eventually cancelled (such is the case of Legacy of Kain: Dead Sun) or doomed to the realm of mediocrity with a chewed up and spat out mobile game that has all the depth and charisma of a jellied eel. From Prince’s love for Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia, to Kyle’s somewhat overlong fanboying for the Legacy of Kain franchise and calls for it’s return, and Caleb’s worry of the return of Duke Nukem in the current political climate, the lads engage in a debate about their forgotten franchises they would like to see return, whilst coming to terms that they’ll all be nearly forty or over by the time The Elder Scrolls VI releases.
