11 Bit Studios gave exciting news about their upcoming game Frostpunk 2. Day one mod support and tools in the form of FrostKit, announced in a dinosaur filled video. Particularly made for users building maps and creating scenarios. The ability to add custom models will give players the opportunity to totally change the frosty apocalypse setting. A first for Frostpunk players and long requested but not before achieved due to engine limitations.

FrostKit will release in beta giving players access to most of its features. FrostKit will develop over time based on community feedback. Select members in the modding community will able to experience FrostKit in closed beta first before the official release.

The highly anticipated Frostpunk 2 is launching on PC on September 20th on PC and will be available on day one through PC Game Pass, with a console launch to follow later. The Digital Deluxe edition, which includes access to three yet-to-be-announced DLCs, an in-game item, and a variety of extras, will allow players to access game content 72 hours earlier, starting on September 17th.
