Senior Director Paul Jean had this to say “We’ve packed so much into the latest update with something for all players,” “Whether it’s vibrant Podium Pass items, crazy dance celebrations, a new racing icon, or the full 2022 F2 season, players have lots of new content giving them the perfect excuse to head back onto the track.”
The newly released update will also include freebies (yay, who doesn’t love a freebie?) in the form of some USA-inspired themes including the iconic stars & stripes (of the national flag) to enjoy on helmets, gloves, and race suits. The griddy podium celebration will also find its way during the moments of euphoria as part of 30 customization items available to be unlocked.
Perhaps the biggest news to come out of the press release is the inclusion of Mika Häkkinen (available from October 17th) in the My Team mode. The sporting icon led Mclaren to two highly coveted titles in 1998 and 1999, cementing his legacy in the sport for generations. Gamers that own the champions edition will be able to enjoy title-deciding flashbacks and change history as the likes of Michael Schumacher and many more slug it out to rekindle old rivalries.
Also announced was an update regarding F2 the following information has been released. F2 takes the spotlight with the 2022 FIA Formula 2 World Championship. Players can now take to the grid for the 14-round season, including F2 Sprint, competing against new contenders Logan Sargeant, Jack Doohan, and the recently crowned Champion, Felipe Drugovi
