Later this month, we will be attending the latest Insomnia event, Insomnia62 which is held at the NEC, Birmingham between March 30th – April 2nd.
Insomnia itself is known for its massive eSports presence, and it’s definitely going to be the same this year around. There will be abundance of LAN and daily tournaments that you can enter for all your favourite games. Fancy yourself as a rising Football Manager? There is going to be a Football Manager 2018 tournament there where the winner can walk away with a very impressive £25,000.
There will also be big tournaments for Battalion 1944, Overwatch, League of Legends, Rocket League and Hearthstone. Information on all of these can be found here. There will also be little daily tournaments too, which you can just turn up and enter on the day. These have yet TBC but rest assured, there will be something for everyone.
Insomnia62 isn’t just for eSports, not at all. You’ll be able to meet your favourite YouTubers, play some retro gaming and also see the best of what the indie scene has to offer.
We’re going to be there to take a look at it all. We’re big fans of indie games here at Game Hype so we’ll be make sure that we do a proper report of what is coming your way, whilst also talking to the developers that are in attendance. We’ll also be taking a good look at the big eSports events going on, and will be trying to get a few words with some of the major competitors that are in attendance.
It’s definitely looking to become yet another fantastic Insomnia this Easter Holiday. If you’re reading this and you think you’d like to attend (why not?!), you can still purchase tickets here. Make sure you let us know if you’ll be attending and we’ll be sure to see you all at Insomnia62!
