Konami have confirmed that the Turkish Süper Lig will be present in PES 2019 for the first time in the series history.
This deal lets Konami feature all 18 competing clubs and use of all iconography associated with the Süper Lig. All clubs will be represented in their correct kits through post-launch data pack releases and ensure that all stats and squads are updated on a weekly basis.
They have also announced Turkish midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu as a local Ambassador. Çalhanoğl has scored 51 goals in 192 league appearances and has been capped 33 times by Turkey, scoring eight goals. He will also appear alongside PES 2019 global cover star Phillipe Coutinho on a specially-created Turkish packshot. Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director Brand & Business Development at Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. stated:
Turkish football is blessed with the most fantastic level of support and for many years we have had request after request that we add this dynamic league to the PES series and that moment has finally come. We are delighted to secure the Süper Lig for inclusion within PES 2019 and will ensure that the passion and skill that shines from every game will be perfectly recreated. All 18 teams will be fully realised, and we look forward to showing our efforts in the coming months.
Hakan Çalhanoğlu also added:
The PES series is known for its skill and control, so I am very happy to be representing such a fine simulation of the modern game. Turkish football is exciting and skilled, so I look forward to seeing KONAMI’s skilled teams bringing it to life for everyone at home.
