The Nintendo Switch is set to be the place to be for stunk bike racing as Tate Multimedia have announced that Urban Trial Playground is coming to the Switch on April 5th.
Developed by Teyon, the Urban Trial series has had great success on other consoles, selling over 1 million copies. The latest game, Urban Trial Playground is coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch.
This new games moves the action from city streets, straight to the sunny and colourful beaches of California, mixing tricks, flips and combos than ever before. It will also feature independent front and rear brake controls. This allows players to pull off stoppies and front flips as well as sliding into huge skid burns on the track and racking up longer combos.
It will feature 50+ levels across both Freestyle and Time Trial modes, which will be available to play both online and offline. You’ll be able to play against your family in couch based competitive modes with 2 players split screen play in Time Trial or Tag modes. Customisation is also a big thing, with 5 bikes available to be upgraded. You can upgrade its look, its engine, breaks and other vital parts. Joseph Debecki, producer from Tate Multimedia stated:
Our work with Nintendo in previous years has been incredibly successful, and we are very excited to continue creating new Urban Trial games as exclusives for their platforms. With the massive success of Nintendo Switch™ at launch we saw an opportunity to connect with a new, thriving and passionate community we simply couldn’t miss.
